Light to Light 3 Day Self Guided Walk

Note - we are happy to tailor a tour to suit your choice of dates & itinerary

Day 1 (13km)

Pick up from your accommodation in Merimbula - travel via Pambula, Broadwater, visiting a working oyster farm before proceeding south to Eden and onto Ben Boyd National Park.

The walk begins at Boyds Tower where we marvel the sandstone structure that was never officially used as a light house, instead Benjamin Boyd relied on it as a spotting tower for his whaling fleet.

Here at Boyds Tower you'll begin amazing three-day trek along this breathtaking Coastal Wilderness. The rest of the day is spent exploring one of Australia’s most iconic walking trails - the famous Light to Light.  Arriving at Saltwater Creek Camp, with time to relax and explore before a scrumptious dinner based on local seasonal produce.

Day 2 (9km)

We begin the day preparing a hearty breakfast for you before you continue your trek along this amazing coastline with picturesque scenery and an abundance of wildlife, eventually making your way along the Light to Light Walk to Bittangabee Bay.
Take the time to explore the surrounds before we pick you up in our 4WD bus an take you back to our Saltwater Creek campsite. All you need to do is relax around the campfire and enjoy another wholesome meal prepared with local seasonal produce.

Day 3 (8km)

An easy day with leisurely start, we return to Bittangabee Bay where you'll continue to walk further south towards Green Cape Light House and the Lye-e-Moon Cemetery.  Walking across some stunning coastal heath, you'll glimpse magnificent Green Cape Lighthouse along the way and be accompanied by lots of little birds, flitting around the open forest, creeks & waterholes.

The arrival to Green Cape Light House marks the official end of Australia’s iconic Light to Light walking trail - along with a delicious lunch to celebrate.

Take your time inspecting the Light Housekeepers cottage's and beautiful Green Cape Light house - Australia’s 2nd tallest Light house built in 1883.

We depart Green Cape, stopping off at the Disaster Bay Lookout for a panoramic view down the coast and into Victoria's wilderness coast.

Next, it's back to Eden and onto Merimbula, setting down at pre-arranged points, ending what has been three amazing days exploring Australia’s Coastal Wilderness.

Note: This walk does involve walking over short sections of rocky and uneven surfaces.
